Located in a tranquil part of the Tyne Valley, this golf course is one of the best in Northumberland. Combining its interesting layout and friendly welcome, visitors should always try and include this course in their itinerary. The front 9 holes are played amongst the trees, tight sloping fairways, but fair in design, a lightening greens. The back nine opens up and players enjoy the fine views of the Tyne Valley and surrounding countryside. Each hole has a quaint name, from the opening “Gan Canny”, a par four which has a ravine before the raised green, The Fifteenth, “Blasted Oak”, par 4 with a terrific green, and views that will amaze, to the 18th par 3, “Tap Hyem”. The club house welcomes visitors with some fine ales and a traditional menu.
