Morpeth is one of the most popular courses in Northumberland, it was founded in 1906, by the gentleman golfers of Morpeth, and the designer was the six times Open winner Harry Vardon. The course is a traditional Parkland layout; it has undulating fairways and mature trees, which add character and definition to this grand golf course. Its not terribly long, and some holes provide good birdie chances, but the greens are slick and well positioned bunkers call for some pin point accuracy. The welcoming club house has a wide selection of ales and a fine menu.
