Location: Bedlington, Northumberland - 6 miles south east of Morpeth
Course: White Tees: 6813 Par 73 • Yellow Tees: 6630 Par 73 • Red Tees: 5664 Par 74
This is one of the most recent Northumberland Courses, it opened in 1972 and was designed by Frank Penninck. Originally an open cast coal site it has been transformed into a challenging and respected golf course. The designer made the course long and on some days, when the wind is blowing, a real tough test. It has 5 par 5’s, which some are good birdie chances, and four quite long par 3’s, the lower stroke holes are the par 4’s. The course has matured and now has tree lined fairways and a beautiful Amen Corner, 13 14 and 15, mature oak trees and Rodadendrums. The welcome at Bedlington is always friendly and it has good practice facilies.
